       Release Notes for Version 17.04.01 of the J1699-3 software


Except for the issues detailed in 'J1633-3 Work Status', this release includes the
requirements of revision 17.4 of the J1699-3 document and is intended to
test Model Year 2022 and beyond.



NOTES:
 - Slow PCs/J2534 devices may cause false vehicle failures!
 - For EOBD ONLY, scanning CAN baud rates may cause ECUs to go BUS_OFF!
 - This release only supports the 0404 version of the J2534 API!
 - The file "J1699 User Notes.doc" is a simple User Guide to the J1699-3 software.
 - To avoid false failures during the CARB Drive Cycle, do NOT operate the vehicle at exactly 25 MPH (40KPH).


Version 17.04.01 adds the following features:

Version 17.04.01 fixes the following issues:
Issue #     Description
1045        Fix poorly formatted failure message which caused application to crash in Test 5.17 when SID $9 INF-Supported INF reported no INFs supported.
1057        Fix improper failure on ESC (Abort) from test 11.2, also note any true failures before allowing test to abort.
1058        Log UNSUPPORTED for unsupported IUMPR rather than zero to match on screen display.
1059        Change on-screen and logged text for PID $A6 (ODO) reading to show correct PID number (not $A5).
1060        Fix bug that would cause crash if current and previous vehicle test type did not match.
