       Release Notes for Version 17.05.00 of the J1699-3 software


Except for the issues detailed in 'J1633-3 Work Status', this release includes the
requirements of revision 17.5 of the J1699-3 document and is intended to
test Model Year 2022 and beyond.



NOTES:
 - Slow PCs/J2534 devices may cause false vehicle failures!
 - For EOBD ONLY, scanning CAN baud rates may cause ECUs to go BUS_OFF!
 - This release only supports the 0404 version of the J2534 API!
 - The file "J1699 User Notes.doc" is a simple User Guide to the J1699-3 software.
 - To avoid false failures during the CARB Drive Cycle, do NOT operate the vehicle at exactly 25 MPH (40KPH).


Version 17.05.00 adds the following features:
Issue #     Description
1055        Add support for OBDBr-3 with IUMPR.
1067        Remove greater than zero check in evaluation of INF $42.
1069        Change INF $78 RPM_RATING evaluation from range check to check for not equal to zero.
1070        Change INF $48, $49, and $50 support required for PHEV only.
1071        Change INF $51 support required for S/S only.
1072        Change INFs $52-$5B non-support from FAILURE to WARNING.
1073        Update User Input prompts to match document for Light Duty clarification.

Version 17.05.00 fixes the following issues:
Issue #     Description
1065        Fix loss of accuracy in calculations with large values for INFs $17,$18,$1A-C,$41-6,$48-9,$53-8,$61-4,$66-A,$6C-70,$72-4,$76-7.
1066        Fix incorrect expected number of ECU displayed in failure message for INF $6 CVN support.


NOTE: The addition of support for OBDBr-3 with IUMPR has changed some of the selection numbers
      in prompt Q10.
