       Release Notes for Version 16.04.00 of the J1699-3 software


Except for the issues detailed in SourceForge, this release includes the
requirements of revision 16.4 of the J1699-3 document and is intended to
test Model Year 2018 and beyond.


NOTES:
 - Slow PCs/J2534 devices may cause false vehicle failures!
 - For EOBD ONLY, scanning CAN baud rates may cause ECUs to go BUS_OFF!
 - This release only supports the 0404 version of the J2534 API!
 - The file "J1699 User Notes.doc" is a simple User Guide to the J1699-3 software.
 - To avoid false failures during the CARB Drive Cycle, do NOT operate the vehicle at exactly 25 MPH (40KM/H).



Version 16.04.00 adds the following features:

276         Remove loop waiting for DTCs to clear in Test 8.3
274         Add a note to Test 6.1, 7.1, 9.8  (for HEV and PHEV) that says: "Note: You may first start the engine and then disconnect a sensor. In order to avoid starting issues."
273         Test 5.17 is failing PHEVs because requirements need to be updated.
272         Add data structure and function to allow DTCs (read from an .ini file) to be ignored during a pending check.
271         Update evaluation of PID $6B.
270         In Test 5.17, PKE and EOE evaluation criteria need to be re-visited.
259         Add support for SID $09 INF $1A-$29 to match J1979_201702.
240         Add support for China6 OBD




Version 16.04.00 corrects the following bugs:
Issue #     Description
392         Add 5 retries for 29-Bit ISO15765 on Busy Repeat Request NAK.
391         Correct display of SID $9 INF $16, $18, $19, $1D-$1F, $21-$29 values so that they show as unsigned.
390         Correct IGNCNTR index, to fix false fails with FEOCNTR
389         Don't FAIL, WARN for new INFs during phase-in.
384         Use allocated memory for saving SID_DATA for printing at end of test.
