       Release Notes for Version 16.07.00 of the J1699-3 software


Except for the issues detailed in SourceForge, this release includes the
requirements of revision 16.7 of the J1699-3 document and is intended to
test Model Year 2018 and beyond.



NOTES:
 - Slow PCs/J2534 devices may cause false vehicle failures!
 - For EOBD ONLY, scanning CAN baud rates may cause ECUs to go BUS_OFF!
 - This release only supports the 0404 version of the J2534 API!
 - The file "J1699 User Notes.doc" is a simple User Guide to the J1699-3 software.
 - To avoid false failures during the CARB Drive Cycle, do NOT operate the vehicle at exactly 25 MPH (40KM/H).


Version 16.07.00 fixes the following issues:
Issue #     Description
403         Change end-of-test logging of CVN and CALID to prevent overflow of log print string.
404         Change "ISO5765" to "ISO15765" in warning of support for INF $1, $3, $5, $7, $9, $C, $E by iso15765 vehicles.
405         Fix requirement check for PID 0x43 so that it does not fail diesel vehicles for non-support.
406         Fix indexing into _string_elements11_INF856 (and _string_elements11_INFB36) when saving status at end of TEST 11.2 to log file.
407         3rd drive cycle is not required for China OBD.
408         Fix misleading wording of Test 5.6 SidRequest failure.
409         Improve clear code response check to catch missing ECU responses and refine Response\IM Readiness checks.
410         Fix calculations for value checks of SID $9 INF $17, $18, $1A, $1B, and $1C so that values with the MSB set are not treated as negative.


Version 16.07.00 adds the following features:

290         Update value checks of SID $9 INF $17, $1A, $1B, and $1C to no longer require support of recent values for EOBD.
